Product Overview
This New Wave Enviro system is designed for well water and uses an Imperial CeraUltra 2.75" x 9.75" ceramic cartridge water filter.
The cleanable filter element is designed to remove suspended solids, pathogenic bacteria, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, mercury, lead, and VOCs. It is also designed to improve taste and reduce trace contaminants.
The filter element is based on an Imperial ceramic pre-filter shell. Inside the ceramic shell is a post-filter block carbon insert made from powdered carbon blends and zeolite. The cartridge is fitted with a threaded plastic cap on one end and is open on one end to help prevent untreated water bypass.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the filter whenever the flow rate starts to slow. A green scrubbie works well for cleaning the ceramic element.
Filter Life
Replace after 1,200 gallons or 1 year, whichever comes first.

Lead Reduction Note
Lead is seldom found naturally in domestic water supplies but can result from the dissolution of lead pipes that may still be in use in older water systems. The zeolite metal ion reduction medium in the CeraUltra element effectively reduces lead content in drinking water.
